10 Common Questions Bride & Groom’s Ask Wedding Photographers — Answered!
Choosing your wedding photographer is a huge part of planning your day — and it’s completely normal to have questions. At Thierry Boudan Photography, I’ve been doing this for 16 years, and with nearly 1,400 weddings under my belt, I’ve heard (and answered) it all.
So, here are the top 10 questions brides ask me — answered with honesty, clarity, and a touch of experience you can trust.
1. Are you available on our wedding date?
Let’s find out! I only take on a limited number of weddings per year to give each couple the attention they deserve. If I’m available on your date, I’d love to chat and help you secure it.

2. What’s included in your wedding packages?
My packages are designed to be flexible and full-coverage. Every collection includes:
Full-day coverage (no hourly cut-offs)
A personalised pre-wedding consultation
A private online gallery of high-resolution, edited images
Unlimited downloads for you and your guests
You can also add on engagement sessions, a second shooter, albums, or wall art to create something perfectly tailored to your day.
3. How would you describe your photography style?
Natural, timeless, and real. I blend documentary-style storytelling with an editorial eye, meaning I’ll capture the emotion and energy of the day as it unfolds — no awkward poses, no forced smiles. Just you, your people, and your story.

5. Have you photographed at our venue before?
Chances are… yes. With almost 1,400 weddings across 16 years, I’ve worked at most venues around the region and beyond. If I haven’t shot at your venue, I’ll do a full scout beforehand and arrive early on the day to plan out locations and lighting.
6. How do you handle low light or bad weather?
I’m ready for anything — from overcast ceremonies to dimly lit receptions. I bring all the gear needed for tricky lighting and always find ways to create magic no matter what the weather brings.
☔ Some of the most romantic images I’ve captured were in unexpected rain or moody skies.
7. When will we receive our wedding photos?
You’ll receive your full gallery will be ready within 12 weeks — though most weddings are delivered in 4–8 weeks. Your photos will be available in an easy-to-use online gallery that you can download, share, and order prints from directly.
8. Do you offer albums or prints?
Yes — and they’re beautiful. I offer fine art albums, wall art, and high-quality prints that will help you relive your day again and again. These can be bundled into your package or added on after the wedding.

9. What’s your backup plan if you can’t make it?
While I’ve never missed a wedding in 16 years, I have a solid plan in place just in case. I’m connected with a trusted network of experienced photographers and always have backup equipment, memory cards, and cloud storage. Your memories are safe with me.
10. How do payments and contracts work?
To secure your wedding date, I require a 50% booking fee along with a signed contract. The final balance is due a few weeks before the wedding. Everything is handled online — simple, secure, and transparent.
