Mish & Joel: Waterfront Romance at Rafferty’s Resort
Mish and Joel's wedding at Rafferty’s Resort was a beautiful blend of waterfront romance and cultural tradition. As their photographer, I was honored to capture their special day, from the intimate preparations to the lively reception.
Onsite Preparations & Lakeside Ceremony:
The day began with Mish and Joel getting ready onsite at Raffertys Resort, surrounded by their family. This provided a relaxed and intimate atmosphere for those important pre-wedding moments.
The ceremony itself was stunning. Set by the lake under a beautifully decorated arbour, it offered breathtaking views of the water. The sunny day created a magical setting as Mish and Joel exchanged their vows. The light was perfect for capturing the emotion and joy of the occasion.
Portrait Session: Raffertys & Caves Beach:
Following the ceremony, we took full advantage of Raffertys Resort's picturesque grounds for their portrait session. The resort offers a variety of beautiful backdrops, allowing for diverse and romantic photos.
But we also ventured offsite to nearby Caves Beach. This added another dimension to their portraits, capturing the dramatic beauty of the coastline. The contrast between the resort's tranquility and the ruggedness of Caves Beach created a unique and memorable set of images.
Sunset Jetty Session & Traditional Tea Ceremony:
As the day transitioned into evening, we captured a magical sunset portrait session on the jetty. The golden light reflecting on the water created a truly romantic atmosphere. These images, with the setting sun as our backdrop, are some of my favorites from the day.
Before changing into her wedding dress, Mish honored her heritage with a traditional tea ceremony. This was a beautiful and meaningful part of the day, with Mish wearing a traditional red dress. It was a privilege to capture this special moment with her family, showcasing their cultural traditions.
The reception at Raffertys Resort was a lively and joyful celebration. Mish changed back into her original wedding dress to party the night away with Joel and their guests. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt moments.
